UCSB has transferred to the Enterprise Terms Licensing Agreement (ETLA) with Adobe. This agreement is a 3 year commitment. It features a full range of Adobe apps, tools, and services using a centralized deployment system.
Offered products include:
- Adobe Creative Cloud
- Only suite offering different adobe products
- Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop Express
- Adobe Acrobat
- Shared Device License for Labs
No other single application feature is available–apart from Acrobat, you would need to buy the Creative Cloud Suite.
Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Adobe Acrobat is a singular application featured within Adobe Creative Cloud. This stand-alone license features advanced PDF editing and management.
- This is cheaper than Adobe Creative Cloud and is recommended for users who only need a PDF editing application.
Adobe Creative Cloud
- Adobe Creative Cloud features a broad range of applications for photography, graphic design, UX design, video editing, social media, and more.
- Some applications include:
- Acrobat Pro –
- Adobe Premiere Pro –
- Photoshop –
- Illustrator
- And more.
- This is the most expensive license and is recommended for those who are looking for a wide array of software for creative ventures. The variety of applications allow for opportunities beyond basic functionalities to upgrade and take projects to another level of quality.
Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop Express
- This license features a package deal of the applications Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop Express. Photoshop Express is designed for content creation and includes tools such as photo editing, templates, fonts, graphics, and more.
- Combining these applications together allows users to edit their PDFs after Acrobat with Photoshop Express to redesign and stylize documents.
- This is an option for users who want a middle ground between Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Creative Cloud.
Shared Device Licenses
- Shared device licenses are only available for labs, in which all the lab machines can have a Creative Cloud or Acrobat shared license.
- In order to make a request for this license, please let us know what type of machines are there.
- These are the platforms that are available for lab machines:
Transition from VIP to ETLA
As part of our ongoing efforts to streamline software licensing, we will no longer be renewing VIP Console subscriptions. All users will be transitioned to our Enterprise Term Licensing Agreement (ETLA).
To initiate this transition, users will need to provide a list of users along with their UCSB NetIDs, associated departments, and corresponding CCOA details.
Important: We strongly recommend that users back up or retrieve any necessary data from the VIP Console, as access to this platform will not be available under the ETLA agreement.
